A SUNDAY AFTERNOON

We were given a fine farewell yesterday as we sailed first over the start line, and waved goodbye to Tim.

We settled down to a great evening of fast sailing and large waves under sail. Team Minerva ate a delicious meal of Moroccan chicken to the sounds of Moby after settling into our watches.

Bridg reached 15.4 knots surfing down a wave, but unfortunately Isis gained ground and took the lead from us overnight. We are now catching them up fast.

The dawn was broken by the smell of frying bacon and a flying fish jumping into the kitchen and just missing the frying pan. Alex, Victoria, Bridg and Charlie were dutifully holding down the sails in their bikinis (the most exercise they have done today). We are cruising along in beautiful sunshine, good wind and are looking forward to drinks at sunset.
