Hello from Minerva

A rollercoaster ride - with a pleasant day leaving the Solent but things soon turned into a washing machine with 35kt winds and big seas. We had a eventful time on the foredeck changing sails and getting very very wet.

Life onboard is never easy at 25 degrees. even making a cup of tea beomes a big effort. But despite the hard weather everyone has been coping well and we have been averaging 9kts most of the time, making good ground on Porto.

Half way across the Bay of Biscay now and we have seen both whales and dophins. Everyone is looking forward to a nice drink on arrival in Porto, and can almost smell it!
